31/01/09

Well we did do the tidying up and this is what the spare room looks like now - we haven't quite finished, but it is a start. Then I had a lovely time playing with the mirror!

These are my work colleagues. Ponni is the paediatrician (I have never seen her use a stethascope - she put it on especially for the photo!) and Sally is the speech and language therapist. Today we waited an hour for a family who didn't come to see us.

Someone drove into the back of me on the way to work this morning - I am fine, but this tiny amount of damage is going to cost them about £300 to mend.

25/01/09

Just home from the hockey - it is exhausting doing all that watching. Lovely surprise to see Dana there too and sitting just in the row in front!

Outside Toxteth Annex on the way out of a meeting. My boss took this picture - she looked slightly surprised when I asked her!

My feet. Today they were mostly cold. My sister bought me these shoes and I love them.

This is the damage that hockey did to me on Saturday - the dive was fabulous, but sadly did not result in a goal.

19/01/09

It snowed today - big fat flakes that settled and almost resulted in me being sent home from work. Then it melted. These chocolates were on the doormat when I got home. Scrumptious.

18/01/09

We went out for Sunday lunch in Hanmer with the in-laws - it was scrumptious.

Today I played for the second team and it was the first game of the season. Later tonight I am a French Maid at a murder mystery party in honour of Lucy Day's 29th birthday.

This is a photo of the naughtiest company I have had the misfortune to do business with in the past few months. They are a shower of swear words and I will NOT be returning to shop with them again. Humph.

I spent the day at Toxteth Annex training. This picture was on the wall of the room we were using.

What a lovely sight at the end of the day!

06/01/09

It is very VERY cold here in Liverpool and after I had scraped all the ice off the car, I switched on the engine and - LOOK HOW COLD IT WAS.

Frankly far too cold for work. When I got to work the adjoining room was having the windows replaced so there was an icy draft blowing there too.

The view over the River Mersey. I drive past this view most days on the way to my schools.

I spotted these reindeer grazing on the way home.
